About

Matthew is a specialist dermatologist and a fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists.

He completed his postgraduate medical degree at Monash University and was awarded the overall dux of his medicine ​degree.

Matthew also completed an undergraduate degree in pharmacy at La Trobe University and was awarded the overall dux ​of his degree.

Prior to entering the dermatology specialty training program in Melbourne he completed a Master of Philosophy with ​honours at Monash University on the research subject of melanoma and published several first author peer reviewed ​publications and he continues to maintain a strong interest in research.

During his training Matthew was awarded the Adrian Johnson memorial prize for the best paper/ publication in the ​Australasian Journal of Dermatology by a College trainee as a lead author in a calendar year.

He has undertaken specialty training clinics at several metropolitan Melbourne hospitals including the Skin Health ​Institute, St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, Monash Health, Alfred Hospital, Box Hill Hospital, Austin Hospital , Peter ​MacCallum Cancer Centre, Royal Melbourne and Royal Children’s Hospital.

In addition to private practice, Matthew is a consultant dermatologist at Monash Medical Centre and Box Hill Hospital.

Matthew is caring and empathetic and enjoys connecting with patients to resolve their acute and chronic skin ​conditions. When not working Matthew enjoys spending time with his wife and son, cooking, playing tennis and squash.
